Resident Diversity Committee
The Resident Diversity Committee is a resident-led organization focused on fostering diversity and inclusion at the University of Washington Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Medicine Residency Advisory Committee
The Medicine Residency Advisory Committee meets monthly to discuss matters pertaining to the training program and other items of interest. The membership is comprised of individuals elected by their peers from each track within the training program, the Program Director, Associate Program Director, and Chief Medical Residents. Representatives are elected each fall to serve for the academic year.
Campus Involvement
There are numerous opportunities for residents to contribute to the strategic planning and mission of the Department of Medicine, UW Medicine and University of Washington organizations.
- Residents are key members of the Department of Medicine's Diversity Council, Gender-Equity Council and LGBTQ+ Council.
- The UW Network for Underrepresented Residents and Fellow (UW NURF) is a coalition of UW Medicine trainees advocating for policies and programs, creating educational opportunities, and establishing and sharing resources to promote equity and representation within the organization.
